Stats: Highest partnerships by wicket in England vs India Tests
In all the Tests played between England and India, the partnership between Ian Bell and Kevin Pietersen for the 3rd wicket is the most impressive one which resulted in them adding 350 runs together and is followed by the partnership between Rahul Dravid and Gautam Gambhir for the 2nd wicket in 2008.
While the top order partnerships were successful in gathering big scores, it is interesting to see the batsmen down the order at the 8th and 9th wickets making 168 and 104 runs respectively.
Ravi Shastri, a middle order batsman for India was the only person involved in two such partnerships for the 7th and 9th wickets that resulted in 235 and 104 runs respectively.
