Stats: Highest team totals of all time in T20 cricket

The record of highest team total in all T20 cricket belongs to Royal Challengers Bangalore

Every year, as more and more T20 cricket is played, the totals that are being achieved in T20 cricket only seem to be getting higher.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) currently hold the distinction of having notched up the highest score in all of T20 cricket, having made 263/5 against Pune Warriors in the 2013 IPL courtesy of Chris Gayle, who made a world record 175 not out off just 66 deliveries.

Yesterday, Chennai Super Kings made 242/6 against Dolphins in CLT20. It was the 11th highest T20 team total of all time.

Including domestic and international T20 matches, here are the highest totals in T20 cricket of all time:

In the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20), CSK’s 242 is the joint highest total in the tournament’s history, with New Zealand’s Otago having scored 242/4 against Perth Scorchers in 2013. Neil Broom’s scintillating hundred along with Ryan ten Doeschate’s 26-ball 66 helped Otago score the highest total in CLT20 history.

Powered by Suresh Raina’s 90 off just 43 deliveries, CSK posted the joint highest total in CLT20 history
