Stats: Most balls faced for the 10th wicket partnership for India
Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami created a new record by facing the most number of deliveries for any 10th wicket partnership for India in Test cricket.
On Wednesday, in the 1st Test of the ongoing England vs India Test series at Trent Bridge, Bhuvneshwar and Shami faced 229 balls to break the previous record which was held by Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan. Tendulkar and Zaheer had set the previous record when they scored 133 runs in 186 balls against Bangladesh in 2004.
The fast bowling duo came together when India were 347/9, after having lost 4 wickets for 2 runs. The 111-run partnership will give India hope of winning a Test overseas for the first time since June 2011.
