Stats: Most home victories by a Test captain

Graeme Smith has had a pretty successful Test career

Here is a list of captains who have won the most number of home Test matches in the history of Test cricket. With a victory in the recently concluded Boxing Day Test match against India at Kingsmead in Durban, Graeme Smith, together with Ricky Ponting, tops the list with 29 home wins.

The 32-year-old South African, who has age by his side and also looks in good touch, would soon be undisputed at the top and it appears like it would need some catching up for captains to break his record.
