Stats: Most not outs by a specialist batsman in Tests
With 47 not outs in 157 Test matches, West Indies’ Shivnarine Chanderpaul now has the most number of not outs in Test cricket by a specialist batsman. The 40-year-old went past former Australian captain Steve Waugh when he remained unbeaten on 85 in his team’s first innings in the first of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, at Kingstown.
Put into bat first, West Indies declared after scoring 484 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the first innings. Kraigg Brathwaite top scored with 212 off 447. Along with Chanderpaul, Chris Gayle and Darren Bravo chipped in with half-centuries, as well.
In reply, Bangladesh were all out for a paltry 182 runs as Day 3 came to an end.
