Stats: Most number of Test centuries before the age of 24

Kane Williamson

At the age of just 23, Kane Williamson is churning out hundreds on demand, it would seem. On Day 4 of the series decider in Bridgetown, he smashed his 2nd century of the series – his 7th of his career. Only Sir Don Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Gary Sobers had more hundreds in their kitty before turning 24.

The right-hander completed his ton with a cut to sweeper cover off spinner Sulieman Benn to register yet another Test hundred. He finished the rain-curtailed day unbeaten on 161, with New Zealand scoring 331/7, a lead of 304 runs.

Before the age of 24, Bradman had scored 12 centuries with a highest score of 334, while Sachin Tendulkar had 11 100+ scores to his name.

In the list of top 10 batsmen with most centuries before the age of 24, Tendulkar batted in more innings than anyone else and Kane Williamson averages the least among them.

Interestingly, the list has cricketers from all top 8 cricketing nations barring Sri Lanka.

The No.3 batsman has also entered the New Zealand’s top 10 list of batsmen with most centuries in their Test career.
