Stats: MS Dhoni goes past AB de Villiers' record for effecting most T20I dismissals
India carried on the momentum from their ODI series win by inflicting a huge loss on a hapless Sri Lankan unit in the first game of the three-T20I series at Cuttack. Driven by KL Rahul's assured knock at the top, and helped along by cameos from MS Dhoni and Manish Pandey, India compiled a competitive total that was eventually too much to handle for a misfiring Sri Lankan line-up, especially in the face of some tight bowling by the spinners.
