Stats: Brendon McCullum breaks the world record for most consecutive Test matches since debut
99- Number of successive matches Brendon McCullum has now played since his debut in 2004- It is a world record now of most consecutive Test matches since debut, previously held by Abraham de Villiers for his 98 consecutive tests. Ab de Villiers was granted paternal leave for the birth of his son and he missed two Test match series against Bangladesh- otherwise he would have led the table with 104 test matches now.
