Indian opener Rohit Sharma has been in exceptional form with the bat for India in limited-overs cricket. The right-handed batsman often provides his side with a healthy start which has lately been one of the major reasons behind India's success in white-ball cricket in all conditions.

Rohit is creating new milestones with each passing day. He scored a sublime fifty against New Zealand in the third ODI at Bay Oval. The right-hander smashed a couple of sixes in his 62-run knock and equalled MS Dhoni's record of most sixes in ODIs for India.

Dhoni has scored 215 sixes in 285 innings for India and Rohit equalled those figures in just 193 innings.

However, Dhoni has hit 222 ODI sixes in total, including seven for Asia XI side. Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar with 195 sixes stands at the number three for most sixes for India. Sourav Ganguly with 189 and Yuvraj Singh with 153 sixes follow the big three.

Rohit has been around for a while now. However, in recent times, he has undergone a tremendous change. The elegant right-hander has improved his consistency as well as conversion rate.

With 1030 runs in 19 matches, Rohit finished 2018 as second highest run-getter in the ODIs. He has begun 2019 on a sparkling note as well.

With the World Cup nearing, India will be surely looking for his consistent contribution in the all-important tournament. Pertinently, MS Dhoni's six-hitting will also be required for the Men in Blue to lift the coveted trophy for the third time.
