Stats: Test performances of all cricketing nations
It has been over 138 years since the first Test Match was played on March 15, 1877, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground between Australia and England. Australia won that match by 45 runs.
Since then, more than 4000 Test matches have been played across the globe. Cricket started with two teams but soon started to expand its popularity. So far, 10 countries have been notified by the International Cricket Council as Test playing nations.
Let’s have a look how the 10 test playing nations have performed in their respective number of Test matches. England has played the maximum number of Tests, while Bangladesh has played the least number of matches. There are three occasions where a Test match had ended in a draw.
