Stats: Test players with most career runs without scoring a hundred
This record might sound strange to many. However, scoring 50s and centuries is only one criterion of judging how well a batsman plays. There are other factors to be considered too. Batting as an opener and as a middle order batsman usually requires different techniques in the game.
Also, the game plan might change if the ball is new or old and also if the bowler is spinner or pacer.
But making a century in Test cricket is every batsman’s dream and many of them have fulfilled it in early in their career or at the fag end of their career. But some have the misfortune of not making any in their entire career.
The list given below is headed by none other than Australian legend Shane Warne. He might have broken numerous records as a leg-spinner but one thing he doesn’t have is a three figure score in a Test match, about which he is extremely disappointed. He is followed by a surprise inclusion, a former India opener and right arm off spinner Chetan Chauhan, who had scored 2084 runs.
Finding it hard to believe? Take a look at top 30 players who have scored their most career runs without scoring a single century in test cricket till this day.
