Stats: Tied matches in ODIs
Today’s tied match between India and New Zealand at Eden Park, New Zealand, was the 7th tie for India and 6th for New Zealand in the history of One-Day international cricket.
Also, MS Dhoni became the first captain to be involved in four tied matches in ODI cricket. His first two tied matches were against England – one in the ICC World Cup 2011 and the other at Lord’s on September 11, 2011.
The third one was against Sri Lanka in Adelaide on February 2012. Behind him are West Indies’ Richie Richardson, Australia’s Steve Waugh and South Africa’s Shaun Pollock, with 3 tied matches each.
