Australia’s Adam Gilchrist leads the list for the most number of dismissals in World Cup cricket, having accounted for a total of 52 dismissals in 31 matches, which included 45 catches and 7 stumpings, over his career. Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara is in second spot with 46 dismissals to his name in 30 World Cup games.
New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum comes in third with 32 dismissals, followed by South Africa’s Mark Boucher with 31. Pakistan’s Moin Khan is at No.5 in the list with 30 dismissals, including 23 catches and 7 stumpings.
England’s Alec Stewart is in the sixth spot with 23 dismissals to his name. The number seven slot, meanwhile, is jointly held by Ridley Jacobs and Wasim Bari, both of whom accounted for 22 dismissals.
Next in the list is Ian Healy, who effected 21 dismissals during his career, the same as Canada’s Ashish Bagai.
