Stats: Virat Kohli becomes India's fifth-highest ODI run-getter

3rd Momentum ODI: South Africa v India
Even when he isn't scoring centuries, Kohli continues to break records for fun

A century from Shikhar Dhawan wasn't enough as South Africa's middle-order finally came to the party and helped the hosts beat India by five wickets in the fourth ODI at Johannesburg. Courtesy of their victory, their hopes of leveling the series at 3-3 remain intact, as does their incredible record of never having lost a pink ODI.

Here are some interesting numbers from the fourth ODI:

0 - No captain has scored more runs on a tour to South Africa than Virat Kohli. The previous record was held by Brian Lara, who scored 627, but the West Indian was overtaken by Kohli in the fourth ODI.

1 - Shikhar Dhawan became the first Indian to score a century in his 100th ODI. Sourav Ganguly held the previous record for highest score by an Indian in 100th ODI, courtesy of his 97.

4 - Dhawan is the fourth-fastest to 13 ODI centuries. He got there in 99 innings, Hashim Amla holds the record, having done in just 83 innings.

5 - Virat Kohli is now in fifth spot on the list of most ODI runs for India. He now has 9,423 runs from just 198 innings and he overtook former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin's tally of 9,378 runs in the fourth ODI.

6 - This was the sixth time that South Africa have won in the Pink ODI. They are unbeaten in Pink ODIs.

9 - Shikhar Dhawan became just the ninth player to score a century on his 100th ODI. He joins an elite list that includes G Greenidge, C Cairns, M Yousuf, C Gayle, K Sangakkara, M Trescothick, R Sarwan and D Warner.

10 - Rohit Sharma's average in this series is his lowest in any series since he began opening the innings in 2013.

24 - The number of wickets take by Indian spinners so far in this series. It is also the joint-most they have taken in a bilateral series outside India, level with the 24 they took in Zimbabwe in 2013.

61.33 - Virat Kohli's average against South Africa in ODIs is the highest of any player against the Proteas (min 15 innings).

460 - Andile Phehlukwayo's strike rate after his 5-ball 23. That is the highest strike rate in international cricket history (min 5 balls)

645 - Rahul Dravid previously held the record for most runs by an Indian captain in an away tour, courtesy of his 645 against West Indies in 2006. Kohli broke that record in the fourth ODI and still has two ODIs and three T20Is to go in this tour.

4309 - Shikhar Dhawan's tally of 4309 after 100 ODIs is the second-best of any player. Only Hashim Amla, with 4808 runs, has scored more.
