Stats: Virat Kohli's 34th ODI century breaks more records
Virat Kohli's 34th ODI century helped India take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the ODI series against South Africa after beating the hosts by 124 runs in the third ODI at Cape Town. Kuldeep Yadav registered his career-best ODI figures for the second time in three ODIs as India comprehensively beat the Proteas.
Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to field. Rohit Sharma's early dismissal made it seem like a good decision but a 140-run partnership for the second wicket between Shikhar Dhawan and Kohli gave India the ideal platform. Although India lost their middle-order in quick succession, Kohli remain unbeaten and helped post 303/6.
In response, Hashim Amla departed early and the hosts never really recovered from that. JP Duminy scored a fifty but it wasn't enough as South Africa were bowled out for 179 courtesy of four-fer from Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.
