Cheteshwar Pujara, technically India’s best batsmen of the new generation, has so far been surprisingly left out of the Indian ODI squad for a couple of years now. Pujara has been in tremendous form, even in shorter format of the game in domestic cricket, and his List A career will more than justify that. Compare it with List A record of someone like Kohli, and Pujara stand out.

Especially with the Indian top order struggling in the last few ODI series against arch rivals Pakistan and England, Pujara will bring in a much-needed solidity at the top against two new white balls.
