Stats: Wicket-keepers with most half-centuries in Tests
In the modern era, a wicket-keeper has to perform splendidly both behind and in front of the stumps thus making the role a difficult one. But still, there are some of them who have basked in the glory for an exceptional performance especially in front of the stumps making gigantic scores.
Adam Gilchrist, one of the world’s toughest batsmen, tops the list by making 50 or more runs for 43 times. The south-paw is also the only player to hit 100 sixes in a Test career and also holds the unique record of scoring at least 50 runs in successive World Cup finals (in 1999, 2003 and 2007).
