Video: Steve Waugh bowled by a Waqar Younis bouncer
In the 1994 Test series between Pakistan and Australia, Waqar Younis produced the perfect bouncer which Steve Waugh found unplayable. Pitched half way down the track, the ball climbed on Waugh. The Australian attempted to fend the ball away, but was only able to deflect it onto his stumps. Waqar picked up 10 wickets in 2 Tests in the series.
It was a memorable series, which included Pakistan’s famous 1 wicket victory in the 1st Test at Karachi, after a 57-run last wicket partnership between Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mushtaq Ahmed. The hosts went to on to take the series 1-0.
