Stuart Binny records India's best bowling figures in ODIs
Indian all-rounder Stuart Binny took 6 wickets for 4 runs as he recorded the best ever bowling figures for an Indian breaking former leg-spinner Anil Kumble’s record of 6-12 which the latter had recorded against West Indies in the finals of Hero Cup at Kolkata in 1993.
Binny took the wickets of Mithun Ali, Mushfiqur Rahim,Mahmudullah,Nasir Hossain, Mashrafe Mortaza and Al-Amin Hossain as India recorded a sensational victory after being bowled out for only 105 runs. He also becomes the seventh Indian bowler to pick up six wickets in an ODI after Anil Kumble, Ajit Agarkar, Amit Mishra, Sreesanth and Ashish Nehra.
Not only did the Karnataka all-rounder record the best bowling figures for India but also saw his name etched in the list of best bowling figures of all-time where he currently stands at number nine for ODIs. Former Sri Lankan seamer Chaminda Vaas has the best bowling figures to his name which he registered when he took 8-19 against Zimbabwe in 2003.
India have now won the series with a game to spare. The final ODI will be played on the 19th at Dhaka.
