India v West Indies 2014: Suresh Raina named captain of Board President's XI

Suresh Raina has been named as the captain of the Board President’s squad that will be facing the touring West Indian team in a three-day match at Kanpur, starting on October 25, ahead of the 3-match Test series between India and the Caribbean outfit.

Raina, who last played a Test for India in Septemeber 2012, against New Zealand, has been rewarded for the consistent performances of late with the national team in the limited overs format and with his Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings. 

The 19-year-old chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who got a surprising national call-up recently for the ODI series against West Indies, has been given a chance, as well. 

Board President's squad: Suresh Raina (captain), Jiwanjot Singh, Lokesh Rahul, Naman Ojha, Rohit Sharma, Manoj Tiwary, Wriddhiman Saha, Karun Nair, Parvez Rasool, Pankaj Singh, Ishwar Pandey, Jasprit Bumrah, Karn Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav.
