The “Thalaiva” of Indian cinema is considered nothing less than a God-like figure in his home state and even famous sportsmen who are associated with Tamil Nadu cannot seem to hide their excitement at the release of his latest movie, Kabali. The most recent cricketer to jump the Kabali bandwagon is none other than Suresh Raina.

One of the best players of the IPL and a part of the recently suspended CSK, it is quite obvious that Raina would be affected by the Rajinikanth fever and be completely excited about it. In fact, his admiration for the boss of South Indian cinema is not a secret at all. Previously, Raina had even attempted to impersonate Rajinikanth in one of the team-building activities that were organised in CSK and needless to say, he did a decent job of it.

The left-handed batsman has taken to both Twitter and Instagram to shout out his excitement to the world. When Rajinikanth is in a movie, it is a no-brainer as to how it will fare at the box-office. The superstar is guaranteed to rake in a lot of money for the industry as he has been consistently doing during his illustrious 41-year long movie career.

Rajinikanth has previously played roles that were younger than his actual age but the veteran never lost a step in convincing his ardent fans that he was the character in his movies capable of impossible stunts and various chivalrous acts. Kabali is set in Malaysia and Rajinikanth's character is that of an underworld don with the movie directed by relative newcomer Pa Ranjith.

And Raina, it seems, is not the only one. Earlier, teammate R Ashwin tweeted a meme that focussed on the hype surrounding the movie's release in a humorous way. The meme implied various South Indian cricketers meditating and praying on the success of the film. In this Twitter status update, Ashwin tagged his teammate Virat Kohli and his coach Anil Kumble.

With the tickets to this movie sold out within hours of its opening, the movie is all set to smash box-office records as Rajinikanth's movies are always prone to do. It is one of the most anticipated movies in this current period and it is good to see the fever affect our stars too.
