Suresh Raina credits Sourav Ganguly for his comeback
Getting dropped from the ODI team in the Asia Cup seemed to have done wonders for Suresh Raina as he came back to the Indian team strongly in the T20 World Cup.
He has remained unbeaten in the tournament so far scoring 42, 54 in the first two warm up games and 35 against Pakistan in the first match of the Super 10 round.
“I analysed my game. Worked hard in the nets with my coach and played a few matches in domestic cricket. I also did a lot of work on my fitness,” Suresh Raina was quoted as saying by Times of India.
He also mentioned that he consulted ex-Indian captain Sourav Ganguly. “I spoke to him over the phone and he was very sweet. He pointed out certain things about my footwork and my mental make-up. I am looking forward to working with him again,” he said.
Raina’s game had collapsed last season when he was promoted to the No. 4 slot in place of Yuvraj Singh in the ODI format.
