T10 League 2018: Best XI of the tournament

The second season of the T10 League has finally come to an end and as it promised it was way bigger than the previous edition. It was a treat for the whole 11 days for the fans at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium and, in the end, Northern Knights managed to beat the Pakhtoons by 22 runs to claim the title.

A lot of players shone in this tournament but the show was majorly stolen by the West Indies players. Here is a playing XI that could be possibly framed after looking at this year's performances and interestingly six out of these 11 players are part of the Indian Premier League as well.

The two opening spots are acquired by the two stylish West Indies players who ended the tournament was the top two leading run scorers. Both the players averaged more than 50 with 324 runs to Pooran while 304 runs against the name of Fletcher.

Middle Order [Shane Watson (Sindhis), Shafiqullah Shafiq (Pakhtoons) and Sherfane Rutherford (Bengal Tigers)]

The middle order batting will be commanded by Watson, Shafqullah and Rutherford as all these three batsmen are there in the list of top 10 run-scorers of the tournament. All these three players have the ability to hit the ball hard out of the ground which is one of the most important things in this format.

All-Rounders [Sunil Narine (Bengal Tigers), Andre Russell (C) (Northern Warriors) and Dwayne Bravo (Maratha Arabians)]

The positions of all three all-rounders are occupied by three West Indies T20 stars i.e., Narine, Bravo and Russell. All these three players bring a completely different aspect to the side as Bravo can bowl exceptionally well at both the powerplay and the death overs while Russell and Narine can completely hammer the bowl all around the park with Narine also being a very effective bowler.

Bowlers [Mohammad Irfan (Pakhtoons), Pravin Tambe (Sindhis) and Hardus Viljoen (Northern Warriors)]

The last three slots of the team are fulfilled by Irfan, Tambe and Viljoen to complete the side as these three have been among the best bowlers of this season in both economic wise as well as the wickets wise also. These three took 18, 10 and eight wickets respectively in this entire tournament.
