“The fans need to register by filling up an online registration form, indicating their preferred match after which they will be automatically enrolled into the draw. The interested users who register for a match of their choice will be automatically moved to a draw and then through an automated process, the winners will be chosen.
The winners from the random draw will then be given an opportunity to buy tickets for the match they have opted for and will receive a payment link to complete their booking. The window to register will be open for seven days only, starting 25th February 2016.
“ICC World Twenty20 2016 is a highly anticipated event in the international cricket calendar. It’s therefore imperative we maintain an equal opportunity programme for anyone who is interested in watching these matches at the stadium. BCCI will ensure to enable a smooth execution of this procedure and ensure every fan gets a fair chance to purchase tickets for their preferred match” said Mr. Shashank Manohar, Chairman ICC and President BCCI.
