The Men in Blue have been pitted in Group A alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, co-hosts USA, Ireland, and Canada. They will begin their World Cup campaign against Ireland in New York on June 5.

The last edition of the T20 World Cup in Australia saw India crash out of the competition in the semi-finals. They lost to England by 10 wickets, who went on to win the tournament after beating Pakistan.

The only time India won the T20 World Cup was in 2007 under the leadership of MS Dhoni by beating arch-rivals Pakistan in the final in Johannesburg.

"They are favorites for me" - Eoin Morgan picks India as the strongest team in T20 World Cup

Former England skipper Eoin Morgan has picked Rohit Sharma and company as the strongest team in the T20 World Cup. He also labeled them as his favorite team.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Morgan said:

"For me, the strongest side even with injuries throughout the tournament is India without a doubt. The strength and depth is absolutely incredible at the moment. We are talking about the players who missed out in the squad of 15 because of the quality they possess."
"They are favorites for me. The quality that they have on paper if they produce it I think they can beat anybody quite in the tournament," he added.
