2. Ricky Ponting is now the captain of the Mumbai Indians
Ricky Ponting has been surprisingly appointed as the captain of IPL side Mumbai Indians. Sachin Tendulkar was expected to take over the role after Harbhajan Singh was stripped of it earlier this year.
3. India beats Fiji 10 – 0

4. India beats Ireland 3 – 2 to retain top position in the Hockey World League

6. Caroline Wozniacki beats Marion Bartoli in Dubai Open
