Timeline of ODI hundreds by Indian batsmen
After 58 centuries in 215 matches in ODI cricket since 1971, the first century by an Indian batsman was scored. India were playing their 45th ODI, and before that the highest score by an Indian was 95 by Kris Srikkanth. In the match against Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup, Kapil Dev became the first Indian to score an ODI century. It was a special one and still one of the best ODI innings of all time.
Since then 203 ODI centuries have been scored by 33 Indians.
