TNPL 2019, TP vs VBKV: Tuti Patriots bank on past record to come good against VB Kanchi Veerans
Tirunelveli, July 29: Tuti Patriots will be looking to draw inspiration from their hundred percent win record against VB Kanchi Veerans in the Sankar Cement Tamil Nadu Twenty20 Premier League (TNPL) when they meet them at the India Cements Ltd - Sankar Nagar Ground, Tirunelveli on Tuesday.
Unlike Veerans, the 2016 champions have blown hot and cold this season with one victory and two defeats in three matches. VBKV, on the other hand, have overcome their eight-wicket defeat in their opening match against Lyca Kovai Kings with two big victories on the trot against iDream Karaikudi Kalaai (by 110 runs) and Siechem Madurai Panthers (by seven wickets) respectively.
But Tirunelveli has been a happy hunting ground for the Patriots, where they have won two of their past three meetings against VBKV. TP's first victory against VBKV came at NPR College ground, Natham, Dindigul in 2016.
