Nellai Royal Kings batted first and set a 168-run target thanks to skipper Arun Karthik’s 47 and Sonu Yadav’s unbeaten 43.
In reply, Lyca Kovai Kings chased down the target in 18.3 overs with nine wickets in hand thanks to Balasubramaniam Sachin and Suresh Kumar’s 144-run partnership.

Sai Sudharsan (Lyca Kovai Kings)
Sai Sudharsan, the Gujarat Titans (GT) opening batter, opens for the Lyca Kovai Kings. He played his first TNPL 2024 game on Saturday. However, he couldn’t perform well, scoring eight runs with one boundary from five balls.
M Shahrukh Khan (Lyca Kovai Kings)
M Shahrukh Khan, the GT all-rounder, conceded 30 runs in four overs. However, he picked up a wicket for the Kovai Kings.
Shahrukh also contributed with the bat, scoring seven runs in three balls with six.
Jhathavedh Subramanyan (Lyca Kovai Kings)
