#3 Rohit Sharma vs Mumbai Indians 2009
Batting first, Deccan Chargers put up a fighting total of 145/6 in their allocated 20 overs. Rohit Sharma top-scored with the bat for the Deccan Chargers with 38 of 36 balls.
In reply, Mumbai Indians were 100/4 by the end of 15 overs, requiring 46 runs from 30 balls. The game was in the balance, with JP Duminy steering the Mumbai chase.
Sharma was brought into the attack and the gamble paid off, when he removed Abhishek Nayar and Harbhajan Singh of the fifth and sixth ball of the 16th over.
He got the important wicket of Duminy on the first ball of the 18th over, caught down the leg side by Adam Gilchrist.
With this achievement, Sharma became the fourth Indian to register a hat-trick in the history of IPL.
Deccan Chargers went on to win the match by 19 runs and for his all-round effort, Sharma was awarded the Man of the Match.
