Dynamic India opener and Punjab captain Abhishek Sharma is fourth on the list of fastest List A hundreds by an Indian. The dashing and hard-hitting left-hander has taken giant strides with his sensational batting in the Indian Premier League (IPL), for Team India, and at the domestic level as well.
During a Vijay Hazare Trophy match in 2021 between Punjab and Madhya Pradesh at Indore, Abhishek slammed a 42-ball hundred. He scored 104 runs off 49 deliveries, smashing eight fours and nine sixes at a strike rate of 212.24. However, Punjab were chasing a mammoth target of 403 and ended up losing the game.
#3 Urvil Patel (41 balls)
Another immensely talented batter in the domestic circuit at the moment, Gujarat's Urvil Patel struck a 41-ball ton against Arunachal Pradesh during their Vijay Hazare Trophy clash in 2023, making him the second Indian with the fastest List A century.
Gujarat were chasing a target of just 160 runs. Opening the batting, Urvil Patel took matters into his own hands, making light work of the run-chase.
The right-handed batter led the charge, slamming an unbeaten 41-ball 100, including nine fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of 243.90 to take Gujarat over the line in just 13 overs with eight wickets to spare.

Star India all-rounder Yusuf Pathan, who was a part of the Indian team during their triumphs in the 2007 World T20 and the 2011 ODI World Cup, previously held the record for the fastest hundred in List A cricket by an Indian. He is now second on the list with a 40-ball ton against Maharashtra while playing for Baroda in the 2009-10 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Chasing a 231-run target, Baroda were in a spot of bother at 99/3. However, Yusuf scored an unbeaten 42-ball 108, smashing eight fours and 10 sixes at a strike rate of 257.14 as he took his team to victory with seven wickets remaining.

Anmolpreet Singh, with his 35-ball ton against Arunachal Pradesh in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024, now has the fastest List A hundred by an Indian, breaking Yusuf Pathan's 14-year-old record.
During the Group C clash between Punjab and Arunachal Pradesh, Amnolpreet raced his way to a quickfire hundred of just 25 deliveries. He struck an unbeaten 45-ball 115, in a knock that was laced with 12 fours and nine sixes, striking at 255.55. Punjab chased down a 165-run target in just 12.5 overs with nine wickets at their disposal.
The 26-year-old also won the 'Player of the Match' award for his record-breaking innings.
