#5 Gautam Gambhir - 36 innings

Left-handed batter Gautam Gambhir achieved this milestone in his 36th IPL innings. Playing for Delhi Capitals against Punjab Kings, Gambhir played a quick cameo of 26 off 12, with five fours. He was the joint-highest contributor for Delhi along with Mithun Manhas, as the team was bundled out for 111.

In response, Punjab completed the chase with seven balls to spare.


#4 Rishabh Pant/Devdutt Padikkal - 35 innings

In the 2018 season, Delhi Capitals batter Rishabh Pant crossed the 1000-run mark in his best-ever T20 knock. He slammed 128* off 63 against Sunrisers Hyderabad to post 187 on the board. Then Sunrisers chased down the score in 18.5 overs.

Meanwhile, Devdutt Padikkal also completed the feat in his 35th innings while playing for Rajasthan Royals in 2022. He scored 24 off 18, as the Royals compiled a total of 217 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Thereafter, the Knight Riders lost the game by just seven runs.


#3 Suresh Raina/Yashasvi Jaiswal - 34 innings

Suresh Raina and Yashasvi Jaiswal amassed more than 1,000 runs in their 34th IPL innings. In 2010, Chennai Super Kings batter Raina remained unbeaten on 83 off 52 against Mumbai Indians to pave the way for the team to post 180. However, Mumbai sealed the chase in 19 overs.

Jaiswal provided a good start to the Rajasthan Royals by scoring 35 off 18 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2023 season. Although, the Royals registered a total of 214, Sunrisers won the game on the last ball.


#2 Tilak Varma - 33 innings

The talented Mumbai Indians batter, Tilak Varma scored his 1000th run in his 33rd IPL innings on April 22, 2024 against Rajasthan Royals.

Varma was the highest contributor for Mumbai, hitting 65 off 45 balls to help them post 179.


#1 Sachin Tendulkar/Ruturaj Gaikwad - 31 innings

In April 2010, Mumbai Indians skipper Sachin Tendulkar smoked 89* off 59 balls against Rajasthan Royals to power them to 174. Then the Royals fell short by 37 runs.

Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was sensational to score 99 off 57 balls to boost the team to 202 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In response, Hyderabad lost the game by 13 runs.
