Trinbago Knight Riders vs Guyana Amazon Warriors live streaming, team news, prediction, probable playing XI, CPL 2016

Dwayne Bravo (L) and Hashim Amla (R) had a record stand to help Trinbago defeat Barbados

Team News:

After a disastrous start against the Barbados Tridents, Trinbago Knight Riders needed something special from their players to pull off a victory and that is exactly what they did. Losing 4 wickets with 20 runs on the board, skipper Dwayne Bravo, and Hashim Amla put on a record 5th wicket partnership for the Knight Riders (150 runs), lifting them to a total of 170. The Knight Riders beat the Barbados Tridents by 11 runs and registered their first victory in this season.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors successfully chased the target set by the Patriots in their first encounter courtesy of Dwayne Smith who scored 62 runs in just 36 deliveries, hitting 5 sixes in the process. The Amazon Warriors will want to continue their good form against the Knight Riders and get an early grip in this tournament over their oppositions.

Probable Playing XI:

Trinbago Knight Riders:

Batsmen:

Openers Brendon McCullum and Hashim Amla could add only 7 runs for the first wicket before McCullum clean bowled by Akeal Hosein. Amla scored 81 runs in 54 deliveries which proved to be a match-winning knock for the Knight Riders against the Patriots. Colin Munro continued at the No.3 position and couldn’t find his rhythm again for the Knight Riders. Munro will have to make use of his opportunities and start performing to cement his place in the side.

Darren Bravo and Umar Akmal will most likely continue to be a part of the side that will face the Amazon Warriors. Umar Akmal has shown that he is capable of scoring quickly in the International stage for Pakistan and the Knight Riders will hope that he can do the same for them.

All-rounders:

Dwayne Bravo scored 66 runs in 46 deliveries against the Patriots which included 5 sixes, going at a strike-rate of 143. Bravo played a vital role in the win as he bowled 3 overs as well, conceding 24 runs with a wicket to his name. West Indian Kevon Cooper was a touch expensive in the previous game, conceding 42 runs in his 4 overs but picked up 2 wickets.

Bowlers:

The bowling department did a good job defending the target effectively by 11 runs. Spinners stole the show with Nikita Miller, Sulieman Benn and Sunil Narine picking up wickets and containing the batsmen in the mid overs. Ronsford Beaton went without a wicket in his 3 overs where he conceded 23 runs.

Probable XI: Brendon McCullum, Hashim Amla, Colin Munro, Darren Bravo, Umar Akmal (Wicket-keeper), Dwayne Bravo (Captain), Kevon Cooper, Nikita Miller, Sulieman Benn, Sunil Narine, Ronsford Beaton.

Guyana Amazon Warriors:

Batsmen:

Dwayne Smith will most likely continue to open for the Warriors after his excellent innings against the Patriots. Skipper Martin Guptill failed to convert his good start as he lost his wicket scoring 22 runs in 16 deliveries. Australian batsman, Chris Lynn was, unfortunately, run-out by Faf du Plessis as he tried to steal a quick single. Jason Mohammed and Anthony Bramble occupy the middle order for the Warriors. Jason Mohammed, in particular, did a great job in making the Warriors cross the finish line.

All-rounders:

Chris Barnwell is a pretty handy all-rounder for the Warriors as he can swing the bat around and support the middle order in addition to his pace bowling. Dwayne Smith can also put in a few overs in the middle if required. Rayad Emrit is an additional option for Guptill to consider.

Bowlers:

Sohail Tanvir was the pick of the bowlers for the Warriors against the Patriots, picking up 4 wickets in his 4 overs and conceding just 20 runs. Veerasammy Permaul used his medium pace to good effect as he conceded just 23 runs in his 3 overs. Australian leggie Adam Zampa was sensational against the patriots, picking up 3 wickets in his 4 overs and conceding 34 runs. Devendra Bishoo could again be considered for his leg spin.

Probable XI: Dwayne Smith, Martin Guptill (Captain), Chris Lynn, Jason Mohammed, Anthony Bramble (Wicket-keeper), Chris Barnwell, Rayad Emrit, Sohail Tanvir, Veerasammy Permaul, Adam Zampa, Devendra Bishoo

Prediction:

The Trinbago Knight Riders look like the favorites to win against the Warriors. The Knight Riders possess some of the best players of the cricket ball and the top spinners to give them the edge over the Warriors.
