Twitter plea results in visa clearance for Kevin Pietersen for India visit
In a good news for all Kevin Pietersen fans, the star English batsman has been given clearance by the Union Sports Ministry, clearing his way for Indian visa and participation in the IPL-7. The Ministry OF External Affairs (MEA) announced that Kevin Pietersen will be given visa soon so that he can travel to India and play for his team Delhi Daredevils.
Earlier in the day Kevin Pietersen tweeted,
Trying to travel to India urgently & the Indian Embassy has had my passport for 10days for a 24hr service. Help @MEAIndia, @IndianDiplomacy?

In reply to the tweet by Pietersen, official spokesperson of MEA Syed Akbaruddin mentioned, “Event requires approval of Sports Ministry. Mission will give Visa promptly once organisers of event obtain necessary approval,” as quoted by Times of India.
