Sachin Tendulkar is not taking the Lord’s bicentenary match between MCC and Rest of the World on July 5 lightly. The maestro has been retired from international cricket for more than 5 months now, and feels that he needs at least 2 months of practice to get back in touch for that game.

Sachin Tendulkar will lead the MCC side against the Rest of the World side captained by Shane Warne in a match which will also feature Rahul Dravid, Kevin Pietersen, Muttaiah Muralitharan and Brett Lee.

With 2 months to go, the Master is already thinking and looking to start his preparations for the game.

“To prepare for that match, I will need at least two months of practice. I need to find out where the centre of my bat is,” Tendulkar said answering to a query from Ravi Shastri during Mumbai Indians match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 30th April in Dubai.

The defending IPL champions Mumbai Indians had lost all the 5 matches they have played so far and Sachin feels that Mumbai Indians need to bat with a lot more determination. “Our batters need to score runs as it will give confidence to the dug-out,” he said.

Sachin said that he has been enjoying the retired life as he is able to spend quality time with his family. “I have played a lot of badminton, table tennis with my friends. Enjoyed quality time with my family,” the maestro said.
