The Indian U-19 cricket team outperfomed Australia in the final of the U-19 World Cup in New Zealand to lift the trophy. Chasing 217 to win, the boys in blue won the match by 8 wickets with more than 10 overs to spare.

This is the fourth time India have won the U-19 World Cup, the previous three times being in 2000, 2008, and 2012, under the leadership of Mohammed Kaif, Virat Kohli, and Unmukt Chand respectively.

Manjot Kalra was the man of the match as he remained unbeaten on 101 in just 102 deliveries. The other batsmen chipped in as well with Harvik Desai scoring 47 runs. Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill scored 29 and 31 respectively.

Earlier in the day, all the bowlers chipped in to restrict Australia to just 216. Ishan Porel, Shiva Singh, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, and Anukul Roy picked up two wickets each while Shivam Mavi picked up one wicket.

Fifa inspired celebration

After the entire team ran out on the pitch, they all gathered around the pitch for a unique celebration.

Inspired by the famous FIFA 18 game, the cricketers did the "Hypnosis" celebration, as can be seen in the video.

We saw Prithvi Shaw gather gather his team-mates and put them under his spell, before knocking them all to the floor with his 'telekinetic' powers.

Abhishek Sharma confirmed the inspiration for the celebration after the match.

"We have dreamt of this from last year and finally here we are. On top of the world," said Abhishek Sharma after the match. "It's very grateful to be a part of this team. I can't explain my feelings right now. We'll celebrate this night, the best night of ours," he concluded.
