Video: AB de Villiers pulls off a blinder and plays a helicopter pull

South African batsman AB de Villiers, forced to keep wickets in the absence of an injured Quinton de Kock, pulled off a blinder to dismiss West Indian captain Denesh Ramdin off the bowling of fast bowler Dale Steyn in the just concluded Test match against West Indies.

Earlier in the match, batting in the first innings, De Villiers played a bizarre shot, a combination of a helicopter shot and a pull (watch the video below), en route to his 235-ball 152.

Put into bat first at SuperSport park, Centurion, powered by a double ton from Hashim Amla and centuries from De Villiers and debutant Stiaan van Zyl, the home team scored 552 for 5 dec in the first innings.

West Indies, in reply, could only manage 201 and 131 runs in their two innings respectively, losing the match by an innings and 220 runs. Steyn led the rout, picking up 6 wickets in the second innings to clean up the visitors and give his team a lead of 1-0 in a 3-match series.
