Video: AB de Villiers offers a sneak peek into the South African dressing room

De Villiers offered a sneak peek into the dressing room at the end of the first practice session after arriving in India

South Africa are all set to kick-off their 72-day tour to India with the warm up T20 game against India A on Tuesday at New Delhi. The Proteas squad, which is a mix of several experienced and young players, only touched down at the capital city on Sunday afternoon, but with the match a little over 24 hours away, have already started their practice sessions.

Many of the squad might still be feeling the effects of the 13-hour long flight from Johannesburg to New Delhi and add to that the hot and humid conditions in the Indian subcontinent, compared to the comfortable weather over in South Africa, but the visitors are sweating it out hard in the nets already.

South Africa’s ODI skipper AB de Villiers took to Twitter with a short video to offer his take on the weather and also offered a sneak-peek into their dressing room as he was making his way back after the first practice session.

“We arrived in Delhi and first training session out of the way. (The) boys are really looking good, little bit stiff after the long flight to India, but everything going really well. Very hot, very sunny but not too bad and looking forward to what’s gonna be a very challenging and long tour against India, starting with the warm up match tomorrow. Pretty excited to get out there and hit a few balls,” De Villiers said, before heading into the dresssing room with his handycam, much to the mausement of the rest of his teammates.
