Video: Ball hits camera during Hong-Kong - Papua New Guinea match
In the history of cricket, we have seen many huge sixes being blasted out of the park, some getting stuck in the roof and a few being caught in the crowd. But during an International match between Hong-Kong and Papua New Guinea, something unusual happened. One of the batsmen of Papua New Guinea hit a straight six which hit the camera screens. The commentators had a very clear view of the shot and where the ball ended up.
Hong Kong is an associate member of the ICC since 1969, and has been part of many major ICC events and even participated in the World T20 earlier this year. Papua New Guinea became an associate member in 1973 and have made regular appearances in the World Cup Qualifiers but have failed to make an entry to the finals.

A couple of years back, when Australia met Zimbabwe for a One-Day International match, southpaw Mitchell Johnson hit a six which struck the commentator box’s window pane and the glass shattered. The ones present there had a great view of the shot and famous Zimbabwean Mpulelu Mbangwa even commented, “Something came out of the sky.”
During India’s tour of England in 2002, we have seen Sourav Ganguly hit a six which injured a spectator seriously, who was taken out of the park for medication. That match witnessed some classy batting displays by the Indian duo of Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar and the visitors won the match inflicting an innings defeat on England and leveling the 4-match series 1-1.
Brett Lee during the ICC Knockout Trophy in 2000 hit a six off the bowling of Zaheer Khan in Nairobi which smashed the windshields of a car. Chris Gayle once hit a six in an IPL game which unintentionally hurt a young girl seated in the crowd. The big Jamaican later went to meet the child after finding out about it.
Shahid Afridi once hit a six against South Africa at Johannesburg, which many felt was one of the biggest hits ever. Commentators who were on air, at the time felt that he may have hit it into the golf course that is located near the venue.
