The stage is set for the finest of T20 teams around the world to lock horns against each other. The limelight, for a change, will be on the lesser-known players. Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Chris Morris- all of them used this platform to reach to where they are now.
In just a moment, it all can change. Can the players grab it? 10 teams compete for the glory, of which eight teams have already booked their berth. The qualifying stage, from September 17 to 20, will see four teams including the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad battle it out for the remaining two spots.
Its just not the US$6 million prize money at the stake but also a berth in the national team and a chance to attract the owners of the more lucrative Indian Premier League.
The race to glory kicks-off on September 21, when Rajasthan Royals take on Indian Premier League champions Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Man Singh stadium in Jaipur. Gear up for the festival of sixes!
CLT20 may turnout to be an emotional affair for the Indian cricket fans as this will be the last T20 tournament for two legends, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.
