Video: Commentators recreate MS Dhoni-Mustafizur run out moment
The most talked-about moment from the ongoing World T20 has been the run out of Mustafizur Rahman by MS Dhoni on the last ball of the match against Bangladesh, a piece of work that kept his team’s semis hopes afloat, and set the internet abuzz with hyperboles directed at the India captain.
Shaun Pollock, Darren Ganga, Nick Knight and Russell Arnold, former cricketers and currently on commentary duty during the 2016 WT20, came together after the South Africa-West Indies match at Nagpur on Friday to recreate the famous Dhoni-Mustafizur moment.
Pollock took on the role of Hardik Pandya, bowling a delivery even wider than the India bowler had done. Russell Arnold swung his bat, and Nick Knight ran to the danger end. Former West Indies player Ganga took on Dhoni’s role and ran to break the stumps, beating the batsman by a few inches.
As Pollock ran around in mock shock, Ganga acted like Dhoni had done – confident that he had got his man, but not wanting to believe what had just happened. Square leg umpire Aleem Dar referred the decision to a non-existent third umpire.

Sri Lankan Arnold asserts the players could execute the moment in only one chance and that no retakes were required:
