Video: Dale Steyn gives a Delhi kid a memory to remember

File Image – When Steyn had played barefoot football in the rain with Bangladeshi youths

Dale Steyn showed why he is the most feared as well as the most loved fast bowler in the present day, giving a young boy at the boundary ropes a tale he can relate for the rest of his life. As India built on their lead in the Delhi Test on Day 3, Steyn, who is out with an injury, was spotted with a kid between overs.

As the boy with an identity card around his neck walked close to Steyn, the bowler lifted him up and held him in the position for cameras. The kid had a starry look in his eyes, as he momentarily perched himself between the arms of Steyn.

Steyn was on song in the tour match South Africa played against Board President XI. picking up thre wickets, but had limited involvement in the Mohali Test and missed the three matches after that.

As always, like he had shown on the tour of Bangladesh earlier this year, Steyn’s involvement from fun off the pitch cannot be taken away from him, either by rain or injury.
