For 2nd innings on a trot, Indian pacers were spot on in New Zealand to dismiss the hosts for a low total. The conditions in Wellington were helpful for the bowlers on the first morning of the Test and were well exploited by Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami.

Ishant Sharma picked his career’s fifth 5-wicket haul, his 2nd in New Zealand and ended up recording career best 6/51 from 17 overs.
