Video: A young Harbhajan Singh gets into an altercation with Ricky Ponting

Almost ten years before Harbhajan Singh’s famous “Monkey-gate” incident in Australia, the off-spinner had an altercation with another Australian cricketer.

In the tri-series more famous for Sachin Tendulkar’s knocks which came to be known as “Desert Storm”, a young Harbhajan took the wicket of Ricky Ponting and celebrated in his face. Ponting didn’t take the proceedings too kindly.
