Video Highlights: Indian spin bowlers leave South Africa mystified on Day 1

Both Ashwin and Jadeja took four wickets each

India skipper Virat Kohli chose to field first after winning the toss at the start of 2nd Test in Bengaluru, and his bowlers backed him to the hilt to leave South Africa under a lot of pressure at the end of the first day’s play.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja’s spin proved to be too much to handle for all the batsmen except AB de Villiers, who scored a fluent 85 at a strike rate above 80. Both Ashwin and Jadeja took four wickets, and a great ball from Varun Aaron took Hashim Amla's off stump. Also featuring heavily in the thick of the action were slip fielders Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, to add to wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha’s screams.

The following video is a treat for the Indian fan – 30 seconds of flying Proteas wickets, yelps of joy from the Indian players and the sound of the Chinnaswamy erupting.
