Video: Joe Root pranks Stuart Broad from behind during England practice session
The Australia team consider young batsman Joe Root as the one man in the England XI who they must keep a close watch on, but it now appears that his England team-mates cannot have any let-up in concentration when he is around either.
The whole of England are currently looking towards Joe Root to launch an Ashes counter-attack, after having lost their 1-0 advantage in the historic series. However, the England training session at Edgbaston hours before the 3rd Test provided a scene not many English fans would have expected to see.
England Cricket have shared a hilarious video on Twitter where Root is seen slowly walking towards Stuart Broad and pulling down his pants from behind him. Broad, who is incidentally 5 years older than the 24-year-old Root, gave a mighty chase but was forced to give up to his nimbler adversary.
All the while, Ian Bell and the rest of the England team can be seen unconcernedly going about their own drills.

Both Root and Broad have performed reasonably well for the hosts so far in the series. While the right-handed batsman has scored 212 runs and has picked three wickets, Broad has nine wickets to his name.
England’s previous six Test results have had results in this succession: win, loss, win, loss, win, loss. A win at Edgbaston would extend their up-and-down sequence to seven matches, which would be a new world record.
Captain Alastair Cook said, “The mood in the camp is fantastic, and the lads are talking about an opportunity. This is a fantastic ground, and the crowd really gets behind us.”
