Video: Life beyond cricket with Manish Pandey
Karnataka batsman Manish Pandey, who plays for defending champions Mysuru Warriors in the Karnataka Premier League, believes the T20 tournament is an ideal platform for youngsters from the state to develop their game. The 25-year-old who recently made his debut for India during the Zimbabwe tour also named Rahul Dravid as his most favourite player.
Speaking ahead of the 4th edition of the KPL which is set to begin on August 28, Pandey revealed that it was his father’s dream that inspired him to take up the game. He also opened up on his interests outside of the game in a Q&A session titled ‘Life Beyond Cricket’.
He had this to say on the importance of KPL: “It’s an amazing tournament for the youngsters and people not necessarily from Bangalore to come up and play. They get to experience a lot of new things, especially with the crowd and with the amount of opportunities they have, they get to learn a lot from the experienced players.”
