Video: Martin Guptill (without the cape) defies gravity to take a stunning catch at boundary

Kevin Pietersen’s poor form with the bat around the globe, ever since he was sacked by the ECB following the Ashes debacle, continues in Caribbean Premier League. But his last night’s dismissal is something he wouldn’t want to blame on himself too much.

Playing for St Lucia Zouks, Pietersen saw his powerful hit plucked magnificently in the air at the boundary by Martin Guptill, all of 6 feet 2 inch, as he jumped high and pulled off a one-handed stunner!

Watch:

Guptill is known for his athletic fielding and the tall Kiwi went on to contribute with the bat too at the top of the order for Guyana Amazon Warriors as he hit 66 off 47 and with Lendl Simmons (97 off 60), helped his team reach the semifinals as they chased the highest total in CPL history (194).
