Even as England were rocked early during the 1st match of the tri-series in Australia today, pacer Pat Cummins provided the perfect comical dose.

Running into bowl on the last ball of the 14th over of the innings, the 21-year-old bowled a howler which flew over and away from the batsman. Such was the surprise, Shane Watson did well to stop it in the slips!

Cummins eventually picked up 3 wickets in the innings.

However, Morgan didn't let any such distractions affect him and scored an extremely crucial 121 off 136 balls which helped his side recover from a horror start and post a total of 234 in 50 overs.

The left-hander shared important partnerships with Jos Buttler and Chris Jordan on the way and that meant that the Three Lions reached a total of some respectability in the end. Incidentally, that ton was the slowest one scored by him in his limited-overs career.
