Video: Watch a hilarious prank being played on Darren Lehmann by his players
After winning the first Test match of the Trans-Tasman Trophy, the Australian cricket team headed to Perth for the second Test of the three-match series. The Aussies put in a dominating display in the Brisbane Test as they walloped New Zealand by 208 runs.
An all-round performance from the hosts led to an easy victory over their trans-Tasman rivals. David Warner's centuries in both the innings powered Australia to take a 1-0 lead in the Test series.
On the team's flight to Perth, Australian coach Darren Lehmann must have felt that he deserved a well-earned rest. However, Australian bowlers Mitchell Marsh and Peter Siddle had other ideas as they decided to have an ‘exclusive interview’ with their head coach while he was fast asleep.
The video posted by Cricket Australia shows Marsh and Siddle ‘ask’ Boof, as Lehmann is known as, questions about the Test victory at the Gabba. Marsh also asked about how to get his cover drive right. The bowlers seemed quite content with their coach's ‘responses’ to their queries.
Marsh and Siddle then went on to have a chat with their fielding coach, Greg Blewett, who was also enjoying a peaceful nap. Marsh, who had fielded at gully during the Brisbane Test, wanted to know Blewett's opinion about his performance at his new fielding position.
After watching the video, Lehmann expressed his desire, on Twitter, to take revenge on his two players. Lehmann mentioned about his previous experience when he sold one of Queensland's player's car. Australia vice-captain, Warner warned his teammates that they would ‘learn’.
